Château les Farcies du Pech wine is made of equal parts of each of the four grape varieties Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
It is deep garnet in colour, almost "black", with a complex nose of red fruit, spices (pepper, cinnamon) and a slight oaky character.
Mouth : The wine offers full flavour lined with silky tannins and a beautiful sweetness in the finish.
This Pécharmant can accompany Perigord Products like confit of duck, magret (duck breast), cassoulet, red meat and game.
The aging potential is traditionally long, 5 to 10 years and more if your cellar allows.
The Malbec brings a wealth of anthocyanins (color) that give the Cuvée Elixir its very dark colour.
The primary nose offers fruit aromas of Merlot (cherries, blackberries). Almond and toasted wood aromas complement the primary nose then spices (pepper, cinnamon) follow.
The attack is smooth but powerful and well-structured thanks to the two Cabernets. A balanced dose of toasted notes and slight sweetness from aging in new barrels complements flavours of candied prunes, blackberry and vanilla. The surprisingly long finish is very tasty and sweet.
This Elixir will accompany steak, confit of duck and game perfectly.
The aging potential is traditionally long; 5 to 10 years and can be more if your cellar allows.
